The Chartrand Charitable Foundation; a foundation that supports children and adults with opportunities through sports. The Chartrand Foundation’s core values are that people thrive best in a world that presents opportunities, with the belief that sports and physical activity are critical to development and self-esteem.

This scholarship is named in honor and memory of Edward E Chartrand, affectionately known as “Fast Eddie”.  Eddie was a youth soccer coach and college standout at Kansas State University.   His life has guided the Chartrand Charitable Foundation to impact youth sports through the KSU-Ed Chartrand Memorial Soccer Tournament, and now there are thousands of “Ed Chartrand Soccer” alumni all over the United States. The Chartrand Charitable Foundation believes that while we may not be able to change the world, we can change and improve small parts of it, even one person at a time. 

 

The Combined Scholarship Fund can think of no better way to change and improve the world one person at a time than by helping someone make their way to college. The Chartrand Foundation has kindly donated $1000 which will be given out in one scholarship.
