Mr. Trewyn is a respected and well-known figure in the community, recently retiring after 28 years of distinguished service at Kansas State University. During his tenure, he held several key leadership roles, including 16 years as President of the K-State Research Foundation, nine years as Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, and seven years as Vice President for Research. Before his academic career, Mr. Trewyn served as a Staff Sergeant in the 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and was wounded in action during the Vietnam War, exemplifying his lifelong commitment to service. Mr. Treywn is here to present one of our largest awards, a $5,000 scholarship in the name of R.W. Trewyn.
